LTD is proud to offer Tree Wise for a second season. This exciting children's book, by Antoinette Abbamonte, (who is a professional Deaf actress turned author), has been adapted by professional Deaf playwright Garrett Zuercher.

Tree Wise

Tree Wise tells the story of a young person who has Deaf parents and has made a new friend at school. Through the help of a very special tree, they learn how to help their new friend and classmates understand more about Deaf culture. The tree teaches sign language to the children through games.

Stories In My Pocket

Coming this season is our new production Stories In My Pocket which draws on the large repertory of stories, fables, poems and riddles the Little Theatre of the Deaf has pocketed in its 40-year history. Some of our favorites will be popped into large pockets on the stage. The actors will choose volunteers from the audience to pick stories to be performed. What's in the yellow pocket? Will it be Aesop's Fables? Will it be a Native American legend? Will it be an African riddle? What ever they will choose it will enrapture, entertain and educate.
